[Important] Niigata electronic bidding system's next browser migration and support for Windows 11 / Sanjo City

The support for Microsoft's "Internet Explorer" (hereafter referred to as "IE") will end on June 16, 2022 for the Niigata Prefecture Electronic Bidding System. Along with this, from June 6, 2020 (planned), the browser to be used will be shifted to "Microsoft Edge" (hereinafter referred to as "Edge") as the next browser.

Also, along with the transition to the next browser, "Windows 11" will be added to the supported OS.

* Edge supports "Chromium version". "IE mode" is not supported. (See 2 below for details.)

1 Schedule

-June 3 (Friday) Connection via IE

・Please perform the setting work of 3 below.

・Even after completing the settings in 3 below, please connect using IE until June 3rd.

Saturday, June 4 Use the bid information service to switch to the next browser.

June 6th (Monday) ~ Connection via Edge (Migration to the next browser)

・Please connect with Edge after June 6th.

★ After June 6th, when using the Niigata electronic bidding system for the first time, be sure to open the browser

Delete temporary files (clear cache).

This is performed when the pre-verification tool requires the installation or update of an auxiliary application.

Connection test

Access the verification site and check if the settings are implemented correctly.

Up to step 6, the pre-settings of the computer required to migrate to the next browser are complete.

Steps 7 to 9 are the necessary settings for using the Niigata Prefecture Electronic Bidding System before and after the transition date.

Set default browser to IE [until June 3]

After completing the settings up to step 6, you will need to connect using IE until June 3rd, so please set the default browser to IE.

Set default browser to Edge [After June 4th]

Because it is necessary to connect with Edge after the migration date, please set Edge as the default browser after June 4th (Saturday).

Be sure to do this the first time you use the service after the transition date.

2) Execution of the pre-verification tool

Double-click the downloaded pre-validation tool "Check_tool_niigata_Accepter.hta" to execute it.

3) Checking the results of the pre-verification tool execution 《Setting Procedure P.6-8》

The execution result of the pre-validation tool is displayed. Settings are required for items marked as "confirmation required".

4) Re-run the pre-verification tool 《Setting procedure P.9》

After installing the software and setting up, re-run the pre-verification tool and confirm that it is "OK".

* How to re-run the pre-verification tool (same hereafter)

To re-run the pre-verification tool, either perform 2) "Run the pre-verification tool" again, or click "Reload" in the upper right of the open tool.

Install Edge.

In addition, if Microsoft Edge is already installed ("OK" is displayed) in "Running the pre-validation tool" in step 1 above, this step is not necessary.

Download the Edge installer from the site below and run it.

After the installation is complete, re-run the pre-verification tool and confirm that the confirmation result of "Microsoft Edge" in "1. Checking the versions of various software on the client" is "OK".

Configure Edge settings. Please set according to pages 10 to 16 of the setting procedure manual.

The e-bidding assistance app has been upgraded to V1.1.0.

In addition, in the "execution of the preliminary verification tool" in step 1 above, the confirmation result of the "e-bidding assistance application" in "1. Version confirmation of various client software" is already "V1.1.0" If so, this task is not required.

Please download the e-bidding assistance application V1.1.0 from your private certification authority and upgrade it.

After completing the version upgrade, re-run the pre-verification tool and confirm that the confirmation result of the "e-bidding assistance application" in "1. Version confirmation of various client software" is "V1.1.0" please.

Configure the allowed URL list for the e-bidding assistance app.

Register additional URLs marked as "confirmation required" in the pre-verification tool. Please set according to pages 18-21 of the setting procedure manual.

After completing the settings, re-run the preliminary verification tool and confirm that the result of "4. Confirmation of e-bidding assistance application allowed URL setting" is "OK".

Access the verification site and check if the settings are correct.

Please perform this verification at either the following "construction" (including maintenance and management/consignment) or "goods" site according to the actual use in your business.
