Apple launches new features using -NFC in the United States
U.S. Apple announced on February 8 (local time) that the company's smartphone "iPhone" will launch a new feature "Tap to Pay on iPhone", which will become a settlement terminal.Utilizing short -range wireless communication (NFC) technology, the payment is completed simply by approaching the iPhone or the company's smartwatch "Apple Watch" by approaching the merchant's iPhone.
Only the terminal after the "iPhone XS" can use the new function, and supports Apple Pay, non -contact credit cards, debit cards, and other digital wallets.No additional hardware or payment terminals are required.Payment data is protected by the same technology as Apple Pay, and has privacy and safety.All transactions are encrypted and processed, and Apple cannot know what is being bought or who is buying.
Apple Pay has already been used for more than 90 % of US retailers, and this additional function will allow almost all companies to settle on the iPhone itself, regardless of the size of the scale.The new features will be launched in the U.S. Apple Store in late 2022.
In the spring of 2022, Apple announced that it will launch a service through POS applications in Canada's SHOPIFY (Shoppi).Other payment platforms and apps will be added in late 2022.
