"Google Chrome" finally has a side panel?
The recent "Microsoft Edge" is very convenient because you can pop up screens such as collections, downloads, favorites, history, vertical tabs, and pin them to the side panel, but "Google Chrome" does not have such functions. I felt a little inconvenient because I didn't have one. However, it seems that the site panel will finally be added to "Chrome".
The side panel function of "Chrome" can be activated from the experimental function (chrome://flags/) screen. If you turn on the "Side panel" flag (chrome://flags/#side-panel) and restart the web browser, the button "Show side panel" will appear on the toolbar. Clicking this toggles the side panel on the right side of the screen.
With the Dev version "Chrome 96", it is convenient to enable the flag from the [Enable recommended tests] button (beaker icon) on the toolbar, but this flag itself is Stable. It seems that it can also be used in version "Chrome 95" and Beta version.
Enabling the experimental feature 'Side panel' flag will allow you to toggle the side panel with the toolbar button. You can easily enable flags fromThe side panel currently only has [Reading List] and [Bookmarks], which is very lonely compared to "Edge".
