Interview with Mobike, founder and CTO Joe Xia, aiming for mobile IoT | BRIDGE Technology & Startup Information

Bike sharing is expanding like a wildfire with the entry of many companies and investors. TechNode has already taken up the shared bicycle service from the user's perspective, but this can be said to be a one-way view. This is because companies are trying to differentiate themselves not only by user experience but also by business model.

TechNode is the founder of his Mobike and his CTO, he interviewed Joe Xia (Natsu Ippei) to hear his thoughts on the bike-sharing business.

Mobike claims he is part of the sharing economy, alongside Airbnb and Uber. However, you are not sharing your bike, you are making your own bike instead. How would you respond to the voice that it is more like a B2C rental service?

But isn't the hotel industry the same structure?

What if Mobike was defined properly? Is it a hardware company that makes bicycles, a software company, or a platform company that focuses on mobile apps?

In September, it was announced that Chinese ride-sharing giant Didi Chuxing had invested "tens of millions of dollars" in her Mobike's leading competitor Ofo. Some say that this investment is a manifestation of a "multi-faceted partnership" in urban transportation. What do you think?

Apart from the difference between a bicycle and a car, what is the difference between Mobike?

What do you think Mobike's strengths are as an IoT platform?

Mobike doesn't seem to be just a means of transportation.
